Last Updated:Aug 25, 2017
At INFOM, as a continuing event from last year, we held a special event called "Walking Forest Therapy Roads® with a Doctor" from September 2016 to June 2017 with the subsidy by Green and Water Forest Fund created under the auspices of the National Land Afforestation Promotion Organization.
The event was held at a total of ten locations, of which nine of them were among ten locations that were selected from a total of 62 existing Forest Therapy Base nationwide, opening a PR page on the INFOM website to make themselves internationally known; they are Agematsu Town, Nagano Prefecture; Chizu Town, Tottori Prefecture; Yamanouchi Machi, Nagano Prefecture; Okutama Town, Metropolitan Tokyo; Kitago Town, Miyazaki Prefecture; Motosu City, Gifu Prefecture; Shiso City, Hyogo Prefecture; Ueno Village, Gunma Prefecture; Yusuhara Town, Kochi Prefecture; and one more location is Iwate Machi, Iwate Prefecture, which is scheduled to open a PR page on the INFOM website. In all, ten events were organized, including the kick-off event.
A total of 208 people aged from teens to eighties participated in the events. According to the questionnaire survey, a very high figure of 90% of the participants reported being either “satisfied” or "very satisfied" with the doctors' treatment.
In the survey, many of the comments are found to deal with responses from guides or doctors this time, which indicate to prove how much staff have been experienced.
In response to requests not only from each base but participants as well, we will be holding the “Walking Forest Therapy Roads; with a Doctor” event next year as well.
