On November 18th and 19th 2019, the Berlin forestry commission – Berliner Forsten – shall host a congress in Berlin, Germany, dedicated to urban forests and their health benefits supported by renowned experts mainly from Germany as well as Europe and Japan.
The senator for environment of the State of Berlin shall hold the opening speech.
The congress program shall highlight 4 main topics discussing those with a target number of 500 participants:
1. Effects of forests on human health
2. Medical perspectives and therapeutic offers in the forest
3. Forest recreation and impacts on different target groups
4. The role of forests and nature in tomorrow's urban planning
